Villa Pliniana is located in Torno, a magical place, full of romance and charm, where you can breathe the history and splendor of past times. Built in 1573 at the request of Count Giovanni Anguissola around the homonymous spring, over the years has been the favorite destination of many prestigious guests: the poet Percy Shelley left a description of the villa, there Gioacchino Rossini composed the Tancredi, it is even said that Napoleon played billiards still existing today, Antonio Fogazzaro set there the novel Malombra, from which Mario Soldati took the film of the same name shot in 1942 inside the villa. Today, Villa Pliniana has been restored to its former glory thanks to a meticulous and thorough restoration. Inside there are 19 bedrooms divided between the four large apartments in the main complex, to which three independent villas and its 18-acre gardens are added; the infinity pool gives the illusion of swimming in the middle of the lake, especially because the water is actually drawn directly from the lake itself directly. A true daydream, a paradise for those who choose a 5-star holiday and the perfect place for your fairy-tale wedding.
